Study on the impact of Comenius School Partnerships on the participating schools

Major purpose of the study was to provide empirically valid and reliable insights into the impacts of Comenius school partnerships on participating pupils, teachers and schools as a whole. The results of the study are based, above all, upon a survey among persons responsible for the Comenius projects (in all countries eligible, i.e. the 27 EU member states plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Turkey) whose school was involved in a school partnership during 2005 and 2006. In addition, existing evaluations of and impact studies about Comenius 1 school partnerships were analyzed. The survey was conducted exclusively electronic, web-enhanced and web-based, respectively, i.e. by the use of e-mail and internet technology.
